I’ve never laid eyes on a UAP. Not a single glowing orb, not one silent triangle cutting across the stars over the Poconos, not a metallic disc pacing traffic on I-81. I’m not the guy out in a field with binoculars and a FLIR camera; although, I have done my share of field work.
I’m the one who’s spent more hours than I can count in the dark, radio low, listening to Art Bell hold court from his haven in the Nevada desert on Coast to Coast AM or Midnight in the Desert. Art didn’t preach theories. He just opened the phone lines and let the stories pour in-truckers seeing things step out of the woods after lights vanished, families waking up to shadow figures sent to terrify them, people describing encounters that sounded like angels one minute and demons the next. He treated it all with the same calm curiosity. Those nights rewired me. They taught me that the weird doesn’t stay in neat little boxes. The only time I’m one hundred percent certain I saw something that shattered every rule I thought I knew was at the old West Mountain Sanitarium in Scranton. That place is soaked in history. Back in 1934, a patient named Richard Bernhard Smith was stuck there fighting tuberculosis. He looked out at the snow and wrote the lyrics to “Winter Wonderland” while dreaming of a world he couldn’t walk through anymore. The song became a Christmas staple, but the sanitarium itself turned into this crumbling, haunted shell after it closed. A few of us went poking around one night; flashlights, no real plan, just curiosity and thrills. We were in one of the long, decaying wards when it happened. From absolutely nothing, a full-body apparition formed right in front of us. A being; translucent but detailed, dressed in what looked like old hospital clothes; solidified in the air, took a few calm steps, and walked straight past us like we were ghosts and it was the one who belonged there. No drama, no moaning. Just there, among us. Then, literally a heartbeat later, my friend’s earring tore out of her lobe and flew across the room like someone had yanked it. We heard banging in the brush outside right after. That wasn’t imagination. That wasn’t a draft or bad lighting. That was real. And it opened a door in my mind that’s never closed; it was absolute proof that there is “something more” out there. Because that apparition wasn’t just a “ghost.” It was the same kind of breach I’ve heard described in UAP reports for decades. The same thing that shows up in cryptid encounters, shadow person attacks, poltergeist infestations, and the religious visions that have shaped human history. What we call the UFO phenomenon; now UAP, isn’t the headline act. It’s the spotlight on stage while the rest of the theater is full of shadows moving in the aisles. Jacques Vallée called it “high strangeness,” and he was right. This isn’t separate mysteries. It’s one phenomenon wearing different masks. And the way it all moves in and out of our reality? Portals. Rifts. Temporary doorways from other dimensions that let things slip through like water through a crack in the dam. This isn’t wild speculation anymore. It’s the only model that actually explains the data without throwing half of it away. Let me walk you through it; slowly, deeply, the way Art would have let a caller lay it out on a slow night in the desert.
High Strangeness: The Feature, Not the Bug, Jacques Vallée didn’t start as a believer in little green men. He was a computer scientist, an astronomer, a guy who helped design early ARPANET and consulted for the Air Force and NASA. In the 1960s he began cataloging UAP cases and noticed something that didn’t fit the extraterrestrial script. The encounters were too absurd. Witnesses didn’t just see craft- they got telepathic messages that felt like riddles. Time stretched or compressed. People came away healed or cursed. Poltergeist activity followed them home for months. Entities acted like tricksters from folklore. In Passport to Magonia (1969) and Dimensions (1988), Vallée laid it out: modern UAP reports are identical in structure to medieval fairy encounters, demonic visitations, and religious apparitions. Same behaviors. Same absurdity. Same way they mess with the witness’s mind. He developed a six-layer model with physicist Eric Davis for understanding these events:
- Layer 1: The physical object—radar returns, thermal signatures, ground traces.
- Layer 2: The technology—how it moves, defies inertia.
- Layer 3: The beings and their actions.
- Layer 4: The psychic residue—telepathy, altered states.
- Layer 5: The cultural impact—how it changes beliefs.
- Layer 6: The control system—the overarching intelligence steering the whole thing.
By the time you reach the higher layers, you’re not dealing with metal spaceships anymore. You’re dealing with something that interacts with consciousness itself. Vallée’s famous line still hits: “The UFO phenomenon represents evidence for other dimensions beyond spacetime… It is a spiritual system that acts on humans and uses humans.”John Keel, the journalist who chronicled the 1966-67 Point Pleasant flap in The Mothman Prophecies, went even further. He called the source “ultraterrestrials”-beings from a “superspectrum” beyond visible light and our normal spacetime. Not from another planet, but from a parallel reality that overlaps ours. He saw UAP, Mothman, Men in Black, poltergeists, and religious visions as different expressions of the same intelligence. It wears the mask that fits the time and the witness. Fairies in the Middle Ages. Airships in the 1890s. Greys and orbs today. High strangeness isn’t the part we ignore. It’s the part that proves we’re not looking at visitors. We’re looking at neighbors who know how to open the doors between realities.
The Unified Theory: One Intelligence, Many ManifestationsHere’s the core idea- the unified theory that ties it all together without contradictions:There is a non-human intelligence (NHI) that has always been here. It operates primarily from higher or parallel dimensions; realms that coexist with ours but are normally inaccessible. This intelligence is not “alien” in the Star Trek sense. It’s ultraterrestrial, interdimensional, paraphysical. It uses transient portals; natural or engineered weak points in spacetime, to project aspects of itself into our 4D reality. When it crosses over, it can manifest in multiple forms depending on what the situation (or the witness) requires:
- As UAP: Solid, technological-looking craft or orbs that perform impossible maneuvers. These are avatars or probes—physical enough to show up on radar and FLIR, but able to phase out when the interaction ends.
- As Cryptids: Bigfoot, Dogman, Mothman, skinwalkers. These are biological projections—solid enough to leave footprints, hair, and scat (often with anomalous DNA), but they don’t breed or evolve like earthly animals because they’re not fully here. They step through and step back.
- As Shadow Beings: Dark, humanoid silhouettes that seem to absorb light. These are partial materializations—lower-energy forms that don’t fully condense. They’re the “hitchhikers” that follow people home after UAP or cryptid encounters.
- As Ghosts and Poltergeists: Apparitions, voices, moving objects. These can be echoes from adjacent dimensions or deliberate projections. My sanitarium figure? A being using the thin veil of that trauma-soaked place to step in for a moment. The earring? A little demonstration of psychokinetic control.
- As Religious Figures—Angels, Demons, Deities: The intelligence presents in culturally resonant forms to deliver messages, provoke awe or fear, or guide belief systems. Fatima’s dancing sun in 1917? A UAP flap dressed as a miracle. Biblical chariots? Ezekiel’s wheels? Same phenomenon, different wardrobe.
This isn’t random. Vallée’s control system idea suggests it’s deliberate; a thermostat on human consciousness. By injecting high strangeness at key moments, it challenges materialism, expands our worldview, and steers cultural evolution. Keel saw it as trickster energy; playful, deceptive, sometimes dangerous. Art Bell’s callers described it the same way: aware, responsive, almost theatrical.
The Science of Other Dimensions: Why This Isn’t Just Mysticism; Skeptics roll their eyes at “other dimensions,” but modern physics has been pointing this way for decades. String theory; the leading candidate for unifying quantum mechanics and gravity; requires extra dimensions beyond our familiar three of space and one of time. In most versions, there are 10 or 11 total dimensions. The extra ones are “compactified”- curled up into tiny loops or complex shapes at the Planck scale (10^-35 meters), far smaller than we can detect. They’re not “somewhere else.” They’re right here, folded into the fabric of reality. The string theory landscape predicts an enormous multiverse; up to 10^500 (that’s alot) possible “pocket universes,” each with different physical constants depending on how the extra dimensions are shaped. Our universe is just one bubble in a vast foam. Brane theory (part of M-theory) suggests our 4D universe is a “brane” floating in a higher-dimensional bulk. Other branes could be parallel to ours, separated by tiny distances in the extra dimensions. Gravity might leak between them, explaining why it’s so weak compared to other forces. Quantum mechanics adds more: entanglement shows particles can be connected across distances instantaneously. The many-worlds interpretation suggests every possibility branches into parallel realities. Wormholes (Einstein-Rosen bridges) could theoretically connect different regions of spacetime; or even different universes, if stabilized. These ideas aren’t fringe. They come from the same math that powers your phone and predicts black holes. Vallée and Hynek talked about “interlocking universes” back in the 1970s. The interdimensional hypothesis (IUH) simply says that some of these extra dimensions or parallel branes occasionally touch ours at weak points. When they do, portals form; temporary rifts where matter, energy, and consciousness from the other side can bleed through. How the Portals Actually Work in PracticePortals aren’t glowing Disney circles. They’re distortions; areas where the local physics goes haywire:
- Electromagnetic anomalies: Spikes in EMF, compass failures, equipment malfunctions.
- Gravitational effects: Time dilation, objects levitating, “bubbles” of altered space.
- Visual signatures: Glowing tears, orbs that expand into openings, objects materializing or vanishing.
- Energy signatures: Radiation spikes, infrared distortions, lidar “voids” where something should be.
At Skinwalker Ranch- the best-documented window area on the planet; the team has been capturing this in real time through 2025 and into 2026. Season 6 (2025) showed “disappearing portals” mapped in 3D lidar, UAP diving into the mesa like it was a tunnel, invisible “bubbles” that mess with drones, and swarms of orbs appearing during experiments. They’ve pulled mysterious ceramic materials from deep in the mesa; engineered stuff that doesn’t match anything terrestrial. Computers have been hacked from inside the ranch. Creatures have been seen stepping out of mid-air rifts. The hitchhiker effect follows team members home; shadow figures, poltergeists, the works. The current season (heading into 2026) continues the pattern: portals forming and collapsing, biological anomalies, UAP that respond to the team’s thoughts and actions. It’s not random. It’s responsive. The intelligence is there, watching, playing. Other window areas show the same: Point Pleasant during the Mothman flap- UAP, winged cryptid, poltergeists, prophecies. The Uintah Basin. The Poconos and old anthracite regions here in PA; places where the ground feels “thin,” history is heavy, and reports cluster across categories. The portals explain the travel problem. No need for faster-than-light ships across the galaxy. The intelligence is already here, in the next dimension over. It just opens a door when it wants to interact. Sometimes the crossover is partial; hence shadow beings. Sometimes it’s full, solid cryptids or craft. Sometimes it’s informational; telepathic downloads or religious visions that feel like direct contact with the divine. And consciousness seems to be the key. Witnesses who are open, curious, or in altered states seem to attract more activity. Intention possibly matters. That matches quantum observer effects and the idea that these higher dimensions might be more mind-like or information-based than purely material. Physicality Fits Perfectly; None of this dismisses the nuts-and-bolts evidence. The Tic Tac, the metamaterials, the radar-visual cases, they’re real. Portals allow physical incursions. When something crosses over, it condenses into our reality: trackable, photographable, even damageable. Then it phases back out, taking most of the evidence with it. That’s why we get traces and debris but rarely full ships or bodies or bodies of cryptids. The intelligence controls the narrative. At Skinwalker, they’ve shot at orbs that bleed into the ground. They’ve found surgical mutilations with no blood. All while portals open and close. Physical and interdimensional. Both at once. Why This Matters; And Why It’s Been Hidden. If this unified theory is right, disclosure isn’t just “ETs exist.” It’s “reality is layered, consciousness is fundamental, and we share the planet with intelligences that have been shaping us for millennia.” That threatens every institution built on materialism; science, religion, government. The cover-up makes sense. The absurdity makes sense. The overlaps make sense. Here in Northeastern PA, the patterns are the same. Archbald orbs followed by Bigfoot reports. Carbondale silhouettes and triangles. Old mine lands and sanitariums where the veil thins. My West Mountain experience was a small taste. I run a quiet reporting network now; locals and people from around the world, sharing what they’ve seen across all categories. No dogma. Just documentation. If something’s shaken you; an apparition that walked like it belonged, a voice with no source, lights that didn’t act right, a feeling that the world glitched; reach out. I’ve been rattled too. Art Bell taught us to listen. Vallée and Keel taught us to connect the dots. The data is piling up: UAP, cryptids, shadows, spirits, miracles; all traffic on the same interdimensional highway. The portals are real. The intelligence is aware. And the mystery isn’t out there in the stars. It’s right here, all around us, waiting for us to notice. Stay open. Stay observant. The tapestry is unfolding.- Joe Biscotto UAP Reporting Center
